The 16th Annual Independence Parade and Picnic – Sat. July 5th

Come on out and join us for a fun-filled day – the Independence Day parade, picnic and Bluegrass music by the Shepherd Canyon Band (http://www.shepherdcanyonband.com).   Everyone is welcome to be in the parade so start planning now!  or just come out and watch and then enjoy a free lunch and Bluegrass music at the Schoolhouse.

Time:  Parade starts at 11:30, lunch at 12:30 at the Schoolhouse

Theme:  Memories (do you remember the gold country as a kid, or just some good times in the mountains?)

What to Expect: Free lunch (donations appreciated) and free music.

Prizes: Purchase raffle tickets and t-shirts to support the Graniteville Volunteer Fire Co.

Last bit of Winter?

Graniteville had a very mild Winter. This latest Spring storm brought a dusting as shown in this photo taken this morning. Should be warm and sunny by this weekend!  There is a troublesome bear in town, helping himself (herself?) to food so be on the lookout!

A Sad Good-Bye

We lost two beloved dogs of Graniteville this Winter – Rosie and Cisco have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  We will miss them!
